Hi. I am looking into getting a treadmill to use at home.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any treadmills that are accessible to blind people? Do they have talking treadmills or ones that are tactile and read how far you walk and the speed you are walking at?
Thanks,
Misty
Never heard of a talking one. Your best bet may be to get one that has actual controls instead o a console, and then pick up a heart monitor and pedometer that talk. The treadmills at my gym aren't accessible, but I get the guy that goes with me to read the output after I'm through. Since you want to do it at home, my suggestion would be the analog controled one, and the talking accessories to wear. Good luck in your fitness goals.
Wow, I just did a quick google search and a talking treadmill doesn't seem to exist. Only the ones that speak during your workout.
The treadmill we use to have had a flat control panel. At first I thought this was going to suck, but it turned out perfect to braille all the controls.
